
Jammu, 02 March (H.S.): Two individuals were arrested with 21 grams of heroin-like substance, sharp weapon, and cash from Valmiki Colony here today.
Officials said during patrolling duty at Valmiki Colony area, a team of Gandhi Nagar Police Station led by PSI Arun Thakyal, under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar, Inspector Jaipaul Sharma, intercepted two suspicious individuals.
On search, 21 grams of heroin-like substance, a sharp weapon (toka), and Rs 7,200 cash was recovered from their possession, they said.
Accordingly, the duo identified as Vishal Kumar of Gandu Chawni, Jammu and Rohit Singh of Nanak Nagar, Jammu, was booked in case FIR number 52/2026 under sections 8/21/22/27-A of the NDPS Act, 4/25 Arms Act, and 111 BNS at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation taken up, they said.
Pertinently, the seizures and arrests were monitored by SDPO City South, Kuljit Singh, and SP Jammu South, Ajay Sharma.
