Guwahati, 02 March (HS): In a major anti-narcotics operation, Basistha Police in Guwahati seized a huge consignment of drugs worth approximately ₹6 crore from a truck and arrested four alleged traffickers in connection with the case.

Police said on Monday that acting on a specific input, an operation was launched during which the contraband was recovered from a truck. The drugs were reportedly concealed inside the vehicle in a highly sophisticated manner to evade detection.

The arrested persons have been identified as Nabir Ali, Saiful Haque, Kutubuddin Sheikh and Ravi Barman.

A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and all four accused are being subjected to intensive interrogation to ascertain further links in the drug trafficking network, police added.--------
