Nagpur, 02 Mar

(HS): The number of casualties in powerful explosion in SBL Energy Limited Company,

Raulgaon, Nagpur has gone up to 19 with another worker’s death during

treatment. The blast occurred on Sunday morning killing 18 workers, and

injuring 18 others.

Meanwhile,

police have registered an office of culpable homicide against owner of the

company, Sanjay Chaudhari, and 20 senior officers. Nine of them were arrested

on Sunday night. Police are searching for others. Those against whom offence

has been registered include Circle Director, Plat Head, Project Manager,

Supervisor and Safety Officer. Those arrested are being interrogated.

Maharashtra

Chief Minister has ordered in-depth enquiry into the incident. Reenue Minister

Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Minister of State for Agriculture Ashish Jaiswal

visited the accident site and talked to family members of the deceased and

injured.

Bawankule

assured that those responsible for the accident will not be spared.

The family

members of the deceased will be given Rs 2 lakh each from the Prime Minister’s

National Releaf Fund, and Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured. Fadnavis has

already announced a financial support of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the

deceased.

The identities

of the bodies which were broken into pieces is being established through DNA

tests by the Forensic Experts.
