Imphal, 02 March (HS): Security forces and Manipur Police have arrested three active cadres of proscribed militant outfits in separate operations across Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal districts in last 24 hours.

official sources in formed on Monday that security forces apprehended an active cadre of the proscribed outfit People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), identified as Khundrakpam Anilkumar Singh alias Manganglakpa (21) of Sawombung Thongkhong. He was arrested from Phaknung Awang Leikai under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East district. A mobile phone was seized from his possession.

In an another operation security forces arrested another active cadre of PREPAK (PRO), identified as Khaidem Narendra Singh alias Angou alias Maikeingakpa (29) of Wangoi Khaidem Leikai, Imphal West district, from his residence under Wangoi Police Station. During the operation, one 9 mm pistol along with a magazine, four rounds of 9 mm ammunition, and a mobile phone with a SIM card were recovered from him.

In a separate operation on the same day, security forces arrested an active cadre of the proscribed outfit Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) from Yairipok Lamkhai area under Thoubal Police Station in Thoubal district. The arrested individual was identified as Ibungomacha Laishram alias Rocky alias Ibomcha (43), a resident of Gaili village in Peren district of Nagaland, presently staying at Singjamei Yumnam Leikai in Imphal West district. A mobile phone along with a SIM card was seized from him.

Meanwhile, Manipur Police recovered a two-wheeler Honda Activa from the Mayang Imphal area. The vehicle had reportedly been stolen on February 11 from the jurisdiction of Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West district.---------------
