Bahraich, 02 March

(HS): Police stated on Monday that a man allegedly hacked to death his parents,

grandmother, and sister over a money disagreement in a town here. The event had

taken place in Ramgaon, a hamlet of Basantpur Rudal village, between Sunday and

Monday nights. The accused also assaulted his elder brother and struck himself

with a brick.

Durga Prasad

Tiwari, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), informed reporters that

Gurudev filed a formal complaint after discovering his younger brother Nirankar

(30) arguing with his father over money from the sale of property and jewels. The

accused, in a fit of fury, reportedly assaulted family members with an axe,

killing his parents, grandmother, and sister, according to the officer.

Badlu Ram (60),

his wife Sanju Devi (56), daughter Parvati (about 42), and Sitala (80) have all

died. Gurudev alleged that the accused also attacked him with an axe with the

intent to murder. During the incident, the accused struck himself with a brick

many times, hurting himself. Police filed a case against Nirankar after

receiving a complaint. Police arrested the culprit on the scene and admitted

him to District Hospital Bahraich. He was eventually referred to Lucknow because

of his serious condition. Following the inquest, the remains were transferred

for postmortem examination, according to police. According to investigators,

the preliminary investigation indicates that the accused was upset because he

did not get money from the land sale. Pahup Kumar Singh, Circle Officer for

Nanpara, stated that the blood-stained axe used in the murder has been seized.
