Mumbai, 16 Mar

(HS): Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has

suspended as many as 103 teachers and non-teaching employees in connection with

mass copying and paper leakage and other malpractice during HSC and SSC

examinations.

The Board has

installed CCTV as a mission to make the examinations copy-free. Action against

103 teachers was initiated based on the CCTV footage reports. These teachers

violated the examination rules set by the Board. The Board is planning to

register police complaint against them.

Nanded: The

centre of these malpractice appears to be Washim districts. As many as 581 HSC examinees

were detected to have indulged in copying during Physics paper held on February

16. The mass copying was detected at Shri Mainagiri Maharaj Junior College.

Besides this three employees from Shendurjana Adhav, five from Ruigosta, seven

from Mandva, three from Risod and two employees from Lehni were suspended. In

Nanded’s Mukhed dummy candidates were found writing examination. Action against

the dummy candidate, Centre incharge and Supervisor was initiated

Copying: Using micro-notes and AI copies

of answers were circulated in Gadchiroli. Three teachers and a Class-IV employee

were suspended in this connection.

Marathwada: In

Marathwada’s Jalna Mantha Examination Centre five invigilators were found supporting

copying during paper in English. Nine students at Salgara Centre in Tuljapur in

Dharashiv district were found using unfair means. Six others had mobile phones

in their possession during the examinations. Three teachers and three employees

were suspended.

In Chhatrapati

Sambhajinagar and BEED districts mass copying in examination in English were

detected. The examination was conducted on February 10. Offences against 17

employees were registered.

Director of

Yeshwant Vidyalaya A M Raut was suspended. The Supervisor at Rashtriya

Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Jaitapur in Sambhajinagar was found supplying copying

material tio the examinees. Offence against 24 persons was registered of which

21 have been suspended.
