Guwahati, 24 February (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate the much-anticipated Noonmati–Dighalipukhuri flyover on March 10, marking a significant milestone in the state’s urban infrastructure development. CM was talking to media last night after attending a program.
Named the Maharaja Prithu Flyover, the project is set to become the longest flyover in Assam, stretching approximately 6 kilometres. The elevated corridor has been constructed at a cost of ₹850 crore and is expected to ease traffic congestion in Guwahati city.
The flyover connects Noonmati to Dighalipukhuri, providing faster and smoother connectivity across key parts of the city. The Chief Minister is scheduled to formally open the flyover for public use on March 10.-----------
