
New Delhi, 04 January (H.S.): Delhi Cabinet Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh on Sunday participated in a special programme at Braille Bhavan in Rohini to commemorate the 217th birth anniversary of Louis Braille, the inventor of the Braille script.
During the event, he engaged in meaningful dialogue with distinguished guests, persons with disabilities, and social service workers, reaffirming the government's commitment to empowering the visually impaired community.
Prioritising Inclusive Empowerment
Posting on his social media account X (formerly Twitter), Minister Indraj declared, Ensuring education, self-reliance, and equal opportunities for our visually impaired brothers and sisters remains the government's top priority. He emphasised that such initiatives play a pivotal role in building an inclusive and empathetic society.
Paying heartfelt tribute to Louis Braille, the Minister hailed him as a visionary educator whose revolutionary script opened gateways of knowledge for the blind while instilling dignity, equality, and empowerment. Braille script has not only unlocked access to education but strengthened the very spirit of equal opportunity and self-respect, Indraj stated.
