Chennai, 04 January (H.S.) : The AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has constituted a high level manifesto committee to embark on a fourteen day tour across Tamil Nadu. The primary objective of this initiative is to seek public opinion and gather diverse suggestions for the preparation of the party's manifesto ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.

The committee, which includes senior leaders such as Natham R Viswanathan, C Ponnaiyan, and R B Udhayakumar, held its first meeting at the party headquarters on Saturday to outline the strategy for this extensive outreach program.

The panel is scheduled to travel across the state between January 7 and January 20, visiting key locations including Vellore, Salem, Villupuram, Tiruchirappalli, Thanjavur, Sivaganga, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Coimbatore, and Chennai.

During these visits, the committee members will interact with various sections of society to ensure the manifesto is comprehensive and people centric. In a statement, Edappadi K Palaniswami appealed to the party district secretaries to make all necessary arrangements to facilitate smooth interactions between the public and the committee members.

According to party authorities, the district secretaries and office bearers have been instructed to collect specific feedback from various groups including farmers, handloom workers, government employees, and industrialists. The outreach also aims to engage with micro, small, and medium enterprises, traders' associations, and self help groups to understand their unique expectations.

The party leaders stated that AIADMK manifestos have traditionally focused on addressing public grievances while outlining clear developmental initiatives. All inputs gathered during this tour will be meticulously analyzed and incorporated into the final election document to represent the collective voice of the people of Tamil Nadu.
