Chennai, 02 January (H.S.) : Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has asserted that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is fully prepared to face the Bharatiya Janata Party and its various political allies in the upcoming state elections.

In a recent interaction, the leader dismissed the challenges posed by opposition parties, labeling them as various versions of the saffron party. He stated that the people of Tamil Nadu have consistently rejected the communal politics of the center and will continue to support the Dravidian model of governance which focuses on social justice and inclusive development.

The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is focused on fulfilling all the promises made in its election manifesto. He highlighted that major schemes, including the monthly financial assistance for women and free bus travel, have reached millions of beneficiaries.

According to the authorities, the party cadre is energized and ready for the electoral battle, regardless of the alliances formed by the opposition. Stalin remarked that while the opposition is busy with internal conflicts and shifting loyalties, the ruling party is moving forward with a clear vision for the state's future.

Responding to queries about the entry of new political players, the minister noted that anyone has the right to enter politics in a democracy, but winning the trust of the people requires consistent service. He alleged that the central government has been using its various agencies to target state leaders, but maintained that such tactics would not intimidate the party.

The leadership stated that the focus remains on the developmental works and the welfare of the people, which will be the primary plank for their campaign. He concluded by reiterating that the strength of the alliance and the performance of the government would ensure a decisive victory.
