Bhubaneswar, 02 January (H.S.): After assuming charge as Odisha’s Home Secretary, senior IAS officer Hemant Sharma has emphasized that maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety will be his top priorities.
In his first statement after taking responsibility, Sharma said, “Implementing the directives of the Chief Minister will be our foremost priority. We will give utmost importance to ensuring that people feel safe and secure in the state.”
He further highlighted the government’s vision for Odisha, stating, “Odisha is a peaceful state, and we will strengthen the foundations of police stations and outposts across the state. The police force will not just be limited to fulfilling designations but will be reinforced at the grassroots level to ensure effective law enforcement.”
