Kolkata, 17 August (H.S.): An unknown person is reported to have entered a room of the girls hostel of Calcutta University. This incident took place on Saturday night in the hostel of Calcutta University located on Mahatma Gandhi Road.

Meanwhile, this incident has sparked a lot of tension. Members of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad protested on Sunday morning demanding adequate security in the hostel. On the other hand, on information, the police from Amherst Street Police Station reached the spot. How this incident happened is not yet clear. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter. The security of the hostel residents is under question after the incident.
