Ghaziabad, 18 Aug (HS): In Shastri

Nagar of Kavi Nagar police station area of Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh,

a 25-year-old woman inspector's Bullet motorcycle collided with a dog while she

was returning from duty late on Sunday night. Due to this the motorcycle fell

down, then a car coming from behind hit the motorcycle. Due to which the

inspector sustained head injury. The woman inspector died during treatment in

the hospital. She was going to get married next year.

On information, police reached the

spot and the family members of the lady inspector have reached Ghaziabad.

Police is investigating the matter. According to the information received,

Richa Sachan, a sub-inspector posted at Shastri Nagar police post of Kavi Nagar

police station, was returning to her residence after completing her duty on her

Bullet motorcycle at around 2:00 in the night. When she reached Carte Chowk, a

dog suddenly came in front of her. The motorcycle fell after hitting the dog,

then a car hit her from behind. After which she was seriously injured. Richa

Sachan was taken to Sarvodaya Hospital where she died during treatment. Richa

was originally from Kanpur, her father's name was Rambabu Sachan. And in 2023

she started working in the police department.

According to ACP Bhaskar Verma

Kavinagar, Richa Sachan's family has been informed and the body has been sent

for postmortem. The car driver is also being searched. He said that Richa

Sachan was wearing a helmet when the incident happened but she suffered serious

injuries which led to her death.
