Nagon (Assam), 17 August (HS): A road accident took place on the national highway in Raha, Nagaon district, leaving a motorcyclist severely injured after being hit by an unidentified vehicle, police sources informed on Sunday. The identity of the injured person is yet to be confirmed.

According to sources, while heading towards Nagon on a bike without a number plate, the rider along with some others was struck from behind by an unidentified vehicle at West Shalmora. As a result, the victims sustained serious injuries.

Hearing the loud crash, local residents rushed to the spot, extended help and immediately shifted the injured to Nagon Medical College Hospital through 108 emergency ambulance services.
