Bhubaneswar, 17 August (H.S.): A 108 ambulance was involved in a major accident near Mahishapat in Dhenkanal district on Sunday, leaving the driver and helper critically injured.

Authorities reported that the ambulance was returning to its base after dropping off a patient in Cuttack when it lost control and crashed into a roadside tree. The impact of the collision caused severe injuries to both the driver and the helper.

Fire service personnel rushed to the scene, rescued the injured, and immediately transported them to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.

Authorities stated that their condition remains critical, and further details are awaited.
