The family of the nurse, found dead three days ago at a private nursing home in Singur in Hooghly district, demanded a CBI probe into her death.

The family's demand came just hours after the body was sent to Kalyani AIIMS for post-mortem on Saturday.

The decision to send the body to the central medical institute was taken after the deceased nurse's parents said they did not trust the government medical college and hospital to conduct the post-mortem.

The deceased's brother said, After what happened in Kolkata, the way the body was taken from Singur to Calcutta Medical College and Hospital, I can no longer trust the state government to conduct a fair post-mortem. We also feel that my sister has been murdered; so we demand a CBI probe into her death so that the truth comes out.

This incident is reminiscent of the gruesome rape and murder of a woman doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital last year, which shook the entire country. The family had also demanded a CBI probe into the case after the hurried post-mortem and hasty cremation.

Notably, the body of a nurse was recovered from a private hospital on Wednesday night. Her body was found hanging from the ceiling in a room of the nursing home.

Surprisingly, the girl had joined the private nursing home as a nurse only three days ago. She had completed a three-year diploma course in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from a nursing institute in Bengaluru last year. A case of unnatural death was registered by the Singur police.

However, the family alleged that their daughter was murdered.

The family has registered a murder case against the owner of the nursing home. Based on their complaint, the police have arrested two people in connection with the incident.

The arrested include nursing home owner Subir Ghora and the deceased's lover Radhagovind Ghatan.

Initial investigation has revealed that the nursing student was in a love relationship with the arrested Radhagovind Ghatan. Her house is in Egra area of East Midnapore.

The nurse was reportedly mentally disturbed after Ghatan refused to marry her.
