Bhubaneswar, 16 August (H.S.): A major fire broke out at the District Social Welfare Office (DSWO) in Chhatrapur, Ganjam, early Saturday morning, causing extensive damage to vital documents, computers, printers, and other office equipment.

Personnel from the Fire Services Department rushed to the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control. However, efforts to douse the fire were initially hampered due to the office being locked, causing a delay in gaining access.
