16 Aug (HS): On the auspicious occasion of the 5252nd birth
anniversary of Lord Krishna, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath
reached Mathura on Saturday. During this, he participated in the felicitation
ceremony of saints and sages organized at Panchjanya Auditorium in Dampier
Nagar, Mathura. On this occasion, he gifted 118 development projects worth
about Rs 646 crore to Mathura-Vrindavan and announced a new action plan of Rs
30,000 crore for the overall development of Brij Kshetra.
We
are becoming witnesses of 5,000 years of mythological history: In his address,
the Chief Minister said that we are witnessing the mythological history of five
thousand years. On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, devotees from the
country and the world have gathered here with devotion. Shri Krishna resides in
the holy soil and dust of Mathura. It is rare to find such devotion anywhere
else in the world. Millions of salutations to this holy land. Heartiest wishes
to all on Janmashtami. He said that for the last several years, he has been
fortunate to participate in events like Rangotsav and Shri Krishna Janmashtami
in Mathura. He talked about establishing India as a confluence of spirituality
and modern development, the inspiration for which comes from Prime Minister
Narendra Modi. CM Yogi said that the whole world is eager to research on
India's spiritual heritage. Whenever the world has to overcome a crisis, only
India's spiritual heritage will pave the way for lasting peace and harmony.
Announcement
of a work plan of Rs. 30 thousand crores for Brij Kshetra: The Chief Minister
announced a new action plan of Rs 30 thousand crore for the overall development
of Brij Kshetra. He said that this action plan will connect pilgrimage sites
like Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana and Gokul with the memories of Dwapar Yuga. He
said, Our government is committed to respect the sentiments of revered
saints and to develop Brij Kshetra. We are making those works possible which
were once considered impossible. Giving the example of Kashi Vishwanath
Dham and the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, he said that even their imagination
seemed impossible 10 years ago, but today they have become a reality. In Kashi,
where earlier 50 devotees could not have darshan together, today 50 thousand
devotees can have darshan together. The grand Ram temple in Ayodhya is bringing
alive the memory of Treta Yuga. Similarly, the construction of a grand corridor
has been completed in Vindhyavasini Dham.
Commitment
expressed for the cleanliness and uninterrupted flow of Yamuna: Giving the
example of the purity and uninterrupted flow of the Ganga, the Chief Minister
said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ganga has
become suitable for bathing and drinking today. He said, 67 crore
devotees took a holy dip in the Prayagraj Kumbh in 2025. Similarly, the double
engine government is working with full sincerity for the uninterrupted flow and
purity of the Yamuna. Referring to the ropeway facility in Barsana, he
said that it is a big relief for the elderly. He said, This is the benefit
of development that we are continuously working for the convenience and safety
of the devotees.
Shri
Krishna was born for the protection of the virtuous and destruction of the
wicked: Recalling the purpose of Lord Krishna's birth, the Chief Minister said
that he was incarnated to protect the gentlemen and destroy the wicked. He
transformed the battlefield into a land of religion. Yogi said, Shri
Krishna's inspiration of selfless work gives us strength. As long as this
inspiration is among us, no one can harm us. Referring to the completion
of 78 years of India's independence, he said that Prime Minister Modi has made
new resolutions for the centenary celebrations of independence (2047).
Referring to the 24-hour discussion held in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, he said
that society and the government will have to work together to make Uttar
Pradesh prosperous and developed by 2047.
Projects
ranging from Parikrama Marg to environmental protection are included: The Chief
Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 118 development projects
worth Rs 646 crore for Mathura-Vrindavan. 80 projects were inaugurated, which
cost around Rs 273 crore. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of 38
projects, which cost around Rs 373 crore. These projects include beautification
of Parikrama routes, entrance gates, renovation of kunds, facilities for
devotees, connectivity, water conservation and environmental protection. He
described the organization of bhajan-kirtan and Sri Krishna Leelas in
Panchjanya Auditorium as a part of the devotional atmosphere. The Chief
Minister appreciated the efforts of public representatives and saints, with
whose cooperation the proposals for the development of Brij Kshetra were
approved. He said that the government and society together are committed to
preserve and enhance the spiritual and cultural heritage of India.
The
Chief Minister celebrated the birth anniversary by pampering the children and
feeding them kheer: On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath took six children dressed as Kanha and Radharani in his lap and
pampered them. The CM also fed kheer to the children with his own hands and
also performed their Annaprasan Sanskar. This made everyone present there
emotional. He applied tilak on the forehead of the children, made them wear
pearl garlands and gifted them toys. The devotees were overwhelmed seeing this
spontaneous gesture of the CM.
The
Chief Minister honoured the saints: The Chief Minister honoured the saints. On
this occasion, he honoured the most revered Phooldol Bihari Lal, Harishankar
Naga, Anant Prabhu, Balaram Baba, Sudikshan Das, Ram Devanand, Sanant Kumar,
Ladli Das, Anantacharya, Jayaramdas, Krishna Devi, Madhavdas, Ladli and Nritya
Das by giving them gifts like garland, angavastram, sweets etc.
Release
and viewing of documentary film: During the ceremony, a documentary film based
on the glory of the circumambulation of Govardhan mountain was released and
viewed. This documentary film has been prepared by Shruti Anandita Verma. The
Chief Minister honored Shruti Anandita Verma for this documentary.
On
this occasion, Cabinet Minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary, Swatantra Dev Singh,
Minister of State (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Tejveer
Singh, District Panchayat Chairman Kishan Chaudhary, Mayor Vinod Kumar Agarwal,
MLAs Shrikant Sharma, Rajesh Chaudhary, Meghshyam Singh, Puran Prakash, MLC Om
Prakash Singh, Yogesh Chaudhary, Vice President of Uttar Pradesh Brij Tirtha
Vikas Parishad Shailajakant Mishra, BJP District President Nirbhay Pandey,
Metropolitan President Harishankar Raju Yadav, along with other dignitaries
were present. The Chief Minister was honored by presenting a beautiful statue
of Lord Krishna and Radharani.
