16 Aug (HS): The death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari

Vajpayee is being observed on Saturday across the state including the capital

Lucknow. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage to him by

offering flowers to his statue in Lok Bhavan. During this, the Chief Minister

said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee and his thoughts are guiding not only for the

present but also for the future young generation. It is a matter of good

fortune for UP that he was elected MP for the first time in 1957 from Balrampur

district. He was an MP from Lucknow five times. He served the country by being elected

as MP and Prime Minister. On the occasion of the death anniversary of the

uncrowned king of Indian politics, former Prime Minister 'Bharat Ratna' revered

Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, tributes were paid to him today. Revered Atal ji's

political journey of six decades gives a new direction to the entire Indian

politics. Salute to his sacred memories!
