DMK Won't Be Cowed Down by ED Searches, Says Kanimozhi

Chennai, 16 August (H.S.) : DMK MP Kanimozhi has stated that the party will not be intimidated by the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) searches against Minister V Senthil Balaji and others in connection with a money laundering case. The ED conducted searches at several locations, including Balaji's residences in Chennai and Karur, as part of a probe into alleged cash-for-jobs in the Tamil Nadu Transport Department during Balaji's tenure as Transport Minister.

Kanimozhi asserted that the DMK is not afraid of such actions and will continue to function without fear. She emphasized that the party has always stood by its leaders and workers, and it will not be swayed by the ED's actions. The DMK leader's remarks come amid the ongoing investigation into the money laundering case, which has seen several raids and arrests.

The ED's action has sparked a political row, with the DMK accusing the BJP-led Centre of using investigative agencies to target its leaders. Kanimozhi's statement is seen as a defiant response to the ED's moves, and the DMK is likely to continue its aggressive stance against the Centre's alleged attempts to misuse central agencies.
