Kolkata, 16 August (H.S.) The body of the nurse recovered three days ago from a private hospital in Singur of Hooghly district was sent to AIIMS Kalyani for postmortem on Saturday morning.

The body was sent to Kalyani AIIMS after the parents of the deceased said that they did not trust the state government's medical college and hospital to conduct the postmortem.

On Friday, the body was taken to Calcutta Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.

However, there was a scuffle between BJP and CPI(M) workers over where the postmortem should be conducted. CPI(M) workers wanted the postmortem to be conducted in Calcutta Medical College and Hospital, while BJP workers wanted the postmortem of the deceased in a central medical institution. After the scuffle, the postmortem of the body could not be conducted and the body was kept in the morgue of the hospital.

After the family said they wanted the post-mortem to be conducted at a central medical institution, the body was taken to AIIMS Kalyani, where the entire process will be videographed and the post-mortem will be conducted in the presence of a magistrate.

We have no faith in conducting the post-mortem at the government medical college and hospital. We believe our daughter has been murdered. The truth behind her death must come out, the deceased nurse's mother said. She alleged that the body was brought to Kolkata against

their will.
