Prayagraj, 15 Aug

(HS): Under the joint aegis of Legal Chariot and Shankh Prayagraj,

registrations have commenced for the upcoming VidhikKumbh Youth Convention,

scheduled to be held on September 20–21. To familiarize students with the

event, members of the organizing committee addressed the students today at the

lawns of the University of Allahabad, introducing them to the objectives and

format of the convention. The VidhikKumbh Youth Convention, Prayagraj, will

bring together the Youth Parliament and Model United Nations (MUN) on a single

platform, providing young minds with an opportunity to engage in debate,

diplomacy, policy-making, and legislative processes. This event will emulate

the functioning of democratic and international institutions, fostering skills

such as leadership, teamwork, research, communication, and global awareness

among participants—thus preparing them to become responsible and informed

future leaders and citizens.

With participation

expected from over 500 students from various states of India, the convention

will be given the format of a Youth Parliament. A distinctive feature of this

event is that the policies formulated by the winning delegates will be

officially published. The convention will feature eight committees—Lok Sabha,

Rajya Sabha, Vidhan Sabha, UNGA, UNHRC, AISM, Indian Media Conclave, and the

International Press—which will deliberate on contemporary issues that have

never before been addressed in any Youth Parliament. Participation in

the convention requires a minimum educational qualification of high school

pass. Thereafter, students from any academic discipline or class are eligible

to participate.
