Morigaon (Assam), 15 August (HS): On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, Minister Pijush Hazarika attended the district’s main celebration in Morigaon as the chief guest and hoisted the national flag.

As part of the Independence Day programme, the minister paid floral tributes to several martyrs and freedom fighters. Participating in the event organised under the aegis of the Morigaon District Administration at the Tarun Ram Phookan playground, he saluted the country’s freedom fighters and briefed the public on the ongoing development journey under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
