15 Aug (HS): On the occasion of 79th Independence Day under Azadi Ka Amrit
Mahotsav, Industrial Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Nand
Gopal Gupta Nandi hoisted the flag at Reserve Police Line Prayagraj on Friday
and paid homage to the freedom fighters and immortal martyrs who sacrificed
their all in the protection of the nation. Minister Nandi visited the picture
and document exhibition related to the saga of the heroes. Along with this, he
visited the stalls of Child Development and Nutrition, Labour Department, Jal
Jeevan Mission, Skill Development, Social Welfare, Women Welfare, Basic
Education Department, Self Help Groups and other departments and got
information about the products and schemes.
On this occasion, the students of St. Anthony Girls Inter College, VBS
Vidyalaya, DP Girls College, Jagat Taran Girls College, GGIC gave mesmerizing
presentations with welcome song, program on Operation Sindoor and patriotic
songs. On this occasion, Police Commissioner Jogendra Kumar, District
Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, Additional Police Commissioner N Kolanchi,
Additional Police Commissioner Ajay Pal Sharma, Chief Development Officer
Harshika Singh presented mementoes to Minister Nandi. Minister Nandi said that
today is a day of pride for 140 crore Indians. On 15 August 1947, after a long
struggle and wait, the sun of India's prosperity, happiness and independence
rose and the tricolor, the symbol of our identity, self-respect and sacrifice,
waved with pride. Today is the day to express gratitude to the sons of Mother
India who sacrificed their lives. Minister Nandi paid homage to all the martyrs
who while sacrificing their lives had only one dream that India regains its old
glory and establishes itself as a superpower.
Minister Nandi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
our country is moving rapidly towards becoming a superpower. The whole world is
feeling the shine and brilliance of India. Today India has established itself
as the fourth largest economy of the world. India is progressing by leaps and
bounds in the field of defence, technology, manufacturing, industry and export.
Steps like Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Make in India have given a new height to the
eco-system of the country's industry.
He said that the entire world community was surprised by India's progress in
the defense sector and the demonstration of indigenous technology through
Operation Sindoor. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister and the leadership
of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has become an excellent state
in the last 8 years and is now moving towards becoming the best state. By
assimilating the mantra of development with heritage, Uttar Pradesh is galloping
in the field of cultural, spiritual and industrial development. On this
occasion, besides Phulpur MLA Deepak Patel, Legislative Council member Surndra
Chaudhary, officers of the concerned departments, principals of various
schools, teachers, a large number of students were present.
