(HS): On the occasion of Independence Day, a grand program was organized in GIC
Auditorium on Friday. Chief Guest Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development
Minister Dharampal Singh inaugurated the program by hoisting the flag and lighting
the lamp. During this, Mayor Dr. Umesh Gautam, District Panchayat President
Rashmi Patel and other public representatives were present. In his address,
Minister Dharampal Singh said that Independence Day is not just a celebration,
but a remembrance of the sacrifices of millions of martyrs. He narrated the
story of Ashfaqulla Khan's sacrifice and said that real freedom is only when we
love all living beings. The minister also reiterated the resolution of rearing
cows in every household, aiming to make Uttar Pradesh self-reliant and
developed by 2047.

Gautam said that this day is not just an event but it reminds us that
independence was not achieved easily. The young generation has an important
role in realizing the Prime Minister's dream of a developed India. In the
program, girl students of various schools presented patriotic songs, street
plays and short plays. Students of Draupadi Kanya Inter College presented
Saraswati Vandana, Sahu Gopinath Inter College presented welcome song, Islamia
Girls Inter College presented patriotic song and Ram Bharose Girls Inter
College presented street play.
Additional
District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Singh, Saurabh Dubey, Alok Kumar and Vijay
also made the atmosphere emotional by singing patriotic songs. Students who
participated in cultural programs, teachers who made Rangoli and players who
brought laurels to the district in shooting were felicitated.
On this occasion,
Divisional Commissioner Saumya Aggarwal, District Magistrate Avinash Singh,
Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya, Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev
Kumar Maurya along with a large number of officers, dignitaries and students
were present.
