Murshidabad, 14 August (H.S.): A young man reached Goghanpada Block Hospital under Raninagar police station in Murshidabad district with a live snake in his hand on Thursday.

As per information, local resident Deepen Mandal was returning from the field, when suddenly a black poisonous snake attacked his hand on the way. Deepen showed courage and caught the snake and locked it in a plastic jar and headed straight to the hospital.

The medical team at the hospital was also shocked to see him in the hospital with a live snake. The doctors immediately identified the poisonous species of the snake after and started treatment by giving anti-venom injection to Deepen. After first aid, he was referred to Domkal Super Specialty Hospital for better treatment.

As soon as the news of this incident spread in the hospital premises, people gathered to see the snake.

The doctors said that Deepen's life was saved due to timely treatment. At the same time, this courageous incident has become a topic of discussion among the villagers.
