Kamrup (Assam), 14 August (HS): The 24th Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), stationed in Rangia, organized a grand Tricolor Yatra motorcycle rally on Thursday under the leadership of Commandant HK Gupta, as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign during the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. Commandant Gupta flagged off the rally from the battalion premises.

Officers and soldiers of the battalion participated with great zeal, riding motorcycles adorned with the national flag and showcasing impeccable discipline and enthusiasm. The rally, personally led by the Commandant, aimed to strengthen pride, respect, and patriotic feelings for the Tricolor, while promoting unity and integrity across the nation.

The route covered major points in Rangia town, including the main market, railway station intersection, and bus stand via the national highway. The air echoed with slogans of “Bharat Mata ki Jai,” “Vande Mataram,” and “Jai Hind,” as citizens, traders, school children and youth greeted the rally with patriotic fervor.

As part of the event, a tree plantation drive was also held with Commandant Gupta and the participants planting saplings. He described it as both an environmental conservation effort and a commitment to a cleaner, greener future.
