Guwahati (Assam), 14 August (HS): On the occasion of Independence Day 2025, several Assam Police officers have been honoured for their exemplary service, as announced by the Assam Police Headquarters on Thursday.

Commissioner of Guwahati Police Parth Sarathi Mahanta has been selected for the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

The Police Medal for Bravery will be awarded to IPS officer Gaurav Abhijit Dilip, Superintendent of Police; Hemanta Kumar Boro, Sub-Divisional Police Officer; and Constable Akhil Ranjan Das.

The Police Medal for Meritorious Service will go to Inspector General Sanjukta Parasor, Inspector General Vivek Raj Singh, Commandant Jayshree Khersa, Superintendent of Police Hridayjit Barman, Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta, Commandant Debasish Borah, Commandant Tabu Ram Pegu, Deputy Superintendent of Police Nirmal Chandra Biswas, Inspector Lalit Saikia, Sub-Inspector Akhil Kumar Das, Inspector Dhruba Sarki, Assistant Commandant Nabin Chandra Sharma, and Sub-Inspector Rabindra Singha.
