Nagon (Assam), 14 August (HS): In a pre-Independence Day operation, Rupohihat police seized 3 kg 738 grams of cannabis from the Garamatikhua area and arrested one individual, police informed on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Rofiqul Islam, was allegedly transporting the contraband using a rickshaw when he was intercepted by police. Authorities are currently interrogating him to gather more information on the supply network.
