(HS): In Kothi police station area of Barabanki, a married woman committed

suicide by jumping into the river along with two children. The incident took

place on Thursday in Bibiyapur Ghat village. Police have recovered the bodies

of all three from the river with the help of local divers. The deceased

Mithilesh Kumari Yadav wrote a suicide note to SP Barabanki before committing

suicide. She accused her mother-in-law, father-in-law and brother-in-law of

harassment. It was written in the note that for the last 15 days, her

mother-in-law and father-in-law were demanding Rs 2 lakh and jewellery. The harassment

continued even after giving money and jewellery. Mithilesh's first husband had

died. She had married her brother-in-law for the second time 3 months ago.

According to the suicide note, the brother-in-law was also harassing her. On

the day of the incident, the family threw her out of the house along with the

children.

that the woman was seen jumping into the river along with the children. Due to

the high water level of the river due to rain, rescue operations became

difficult. Divers from Nepura started the search. Police took the suicide note
