Srinagar, 14 August (H.S.): Two Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) ranked IPS officers of Jammu and Kashmir, Rashmi Wazir and Sheikh Junaid Mahmood, have been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) on the Independence Day.

While Rashmi Wazir, the 2009 batch IPS officer, is currently posted as DIG UR Range, the 2009 batch IPS officer Sheikh Junaid Mahmood is posted as DIG IR Kashmir.
