Bhubaneswar, 14 August (H.S.): In a vibrant display of patriotism ahead of Independence Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday led a grand Tiranga Yatra in Cuttack, organised by the BJP’s Cuttack 42 Mouza Mandal. The event, held under the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, witnessed an overwhelming turnout as thousands of citizens joined in, waving the national flag with pride and enthusiasm.

The yatra, which commenced at Jhinkiria and concluded at Chanduli, transformed the streets of Cuttack into a sea of tricolours. Participants chanted slogans of unity and patriotism, while a striking motorbike rally added vibrancy and energy to the procession.

Accompanying the Chief Minister was Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi, along with several local leaders and residents, making it a massive community celebration of national pride.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Majhi highlighted the significance of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, stating, “The campaign, based on honouring our tricolour national flag, is being carried out nationwide from August 12 to 14. I am proud to participate in the Tiranga Yatra at the 42 Mouza locality in Cuttack Sadar. This movement aims to instill respect for the national flag and foster a deep sense of patriotism among citizens.”

He further emphasised the need to educate younger generations about the legacy of the Indian flag and the sacrifices of freedom fighters. “This campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, serves as a reminder of our shared identity and unity. Last year too, it reached every corner of the country, and this year’s response has been equally inspiring,” the CM added.
