Bajali (Assam), 30 July (HS): As part of the Agricultural Mechanization Sub Plan 2025–26, agricultural equipment was distributed to farmers at the Bajali District Commissioner’s office on Tuesday. The initiative, spearheaded by the Assistant Executive Engineer of the Pathsala subdivision and the Agriculture Department of Assam, was officially inaugurated by Bajali DC Mridul Kumar Das.

Under the scheme, 14 power tillers out of the total 18 allotted for Bajali district were handed over to farmers with a 95% subsidy. Additionally, three tractors were distributed under a 50% subsidy model.

The District Agriculture Office has encouraged more farmers to visit the Agriculture Department and apply for tractors and power tillers under the government-subsidized scheme.
