Mumbai, 31 July (HS):
The Customs Department officials seized hydroponic narcotic weed (mostly Marijuana)
at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on July an action
on July 29 and 30. Four passengers carrying 8.012 kg of weed concealed in their
bags have been arrested.
Based on intelligence
information, the Customs officials from Zone-III checked luggage of three
passengers coming from Bangkok via Viz Flight VZ760, who had concealed 1.999 kg of weed in transparent vacuum sealed packets. The market price of the drugs is
about Rs 2 crore. Three people were arrested in this connection. In another
case 6.022 kg of weed from another passenger was recovered. The passengers
coming from Bangkok deboarded from the IndiGo flight 6E1060. The market price of
the drug is about Rs 6 crore. The passenger was arrested.
