Guwahati (Assam), 30 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday announced a new initiative — CM-FLIGHT — aimed at empowering the youth of the state through free foreign language training and overseas job placement assistance.

Under the scheme, young people from Assam will be able to learn foreign languages from experts at no cost. In addition, the government will provide guidance and support to help them secure employment opportunities abroad.

Our government has always prioritised skilling the youth of Assam. The CM-FLIGHT programme will be another strong step forward, enabling our youth to learn new languages and prepare themselves for global opportunities, said the Chief Minister.

The scheme is designed to make the state’s youth competitive in the global job market and will be implemented across Assam in the coming days.
