24 July (HS): A vehicle transporting devotees smashed into a tree here on
Thursday, killing two ladies and injuring five others, according to
authorities. Officials claimed the tragedy occurred when the driver of the van,
which was transporting devotees from Firozabad to the Mankameshwar shrine in
Agra, lost control and collided with a tree.

Devi (60) and Ramwati (55), both from Firozabad, died on the scene. The injured have been named as Sunita, Manju,
Aaradhya, Nomi, and Pawan, the van driver. Amardeep, Assistant Commissioner of
Police, stated that the police arrived to the scene as soon as they received
information about the accident, and the injured were brought to hospital. The
deceased's bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and their
families have been notified, according to the ACP. He said that the injured
were in stable condition.
