Guwahati, 25 July (HS): The Assam State Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party has extended a warm welcome and congratulations to the newly appointed presidents of eight important party morchas, recognized as key organizational wings of the BJP. The appointments, approved by BJP National President JP Nadda, were made on Friday by State President Dilip Saikia.
The newly appointed presidents are Nilima Devi, President of the Mahila Morcha; Rakesh Das, President of the Yuva Morcha; Subhash Dutta, President of the OBC Morcha; Nabarun Medhi, President of the SC Morcha; Haren Singbe, President of the ST Morcha; Pankaj Borbara, President of the Kisan Morcha; Shantiyach Kujur, President of the Minority Morcha; and Dulen Nayak, President of the Tea Tribes Morcha.
This was announced through a press statement released from the party’s state headquarters, Vajpayee Bhavan, by Chief Spokesperson Kishor Upadhyay. In the release, he described each of the newly appointed Morcha presidents as experienced and seasoned organizers. He further stated that under their leadership, the eight Morchas—integral parts of BJP Assam Pradesh’s organizational strength—will become even more powerful in the coming days.
The press release also expressed gratitude to National President JP Nadda and State President Dilip Saikia for entrusting leadership responsibilities to such dynamic and capable party workers. It is worth noting that ahead of the 2026 Assembly Elections, BJP State President Dilip Saikia has been working tirelessly and with full dedication to strengthen every level of the party’s organizational structure.
