01 July (HS): President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath
AYUSH University in Gorakhpur, a great step forward in Uttar Pradesh's health
and cultural education. Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath stressed the university's importance in promoting traditional
Indian health practices, as well as its potential to become a premier
educational institution. According to
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the opening symbolizes the
beginning of a new chapter in the state's health and cultural sectors. The President launched the university in
Pipri, Bhathat, which was finished at a cost of Rs 268 crore. Governor
Anandiben Patel, local dignitaries, and state ministers were in
attendance. President Murmu's visit is
part of her two-day trip of Uttar Pradesh.
The
college aspires to be a lighthouse of Indian knowledge traditions such as yoga
and Ayurveda, offering holistic healthcare and medical education. The
university's growth is consistent with the state's objective of developing a
'Developed India -- Developed Uttar Pradesh,' which combines spiritual legacy with
contemporary education.
