Gorakhpur,
01 July (HS): At the inauguration ceremony of the state's first Mahayogi Guru
Gorakhnath Ayush University, Governor Anandi Ben Patel called upon the farmers
to start the 'One Village-One Medicinal Plant' campaign. A large Ayurveda
centre is being opened in Purvanchal in the form of Ayush University and
medicinal farming will also be promoted through this.
Greeting
President Draupadi Murmu, the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony, the
Governor said that farmers of villages around Ayush University can earn more
money by cultivating medicinal plants. This will produce harmless medicines and
will also get the blessings of the public. He suggested that one type of
medicinal plant should be planted in one village and another type in another village.
The
Governor said that despite having all the medical systems, it is important to
consider whether we have reached everywhere. He appealed that harmless
homeopathic and Ayurvedic medicines should be made available to the people
through Anganwadi centres. Doctors, social workers and public representatives
will also have to play a big role in this. The Governor said that Prime
Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi always worry about public health.
Minister
of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu also
addressed the inauguration ceremony of AYUSH University. The welcome address
was given by the Vice Chancellor of AYUSH University, Prof. K. Ramachandra
Reddy. On this occasion, Agriculture Minister of the State Government Surya Pratap
Shahi, Water Power Minister Swatantradev Singh, Fisheries Department Minister
Sanjay Nishad, MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, local MLA Mahendrapal Singh, along with
many public representatives, dignitaries and a large number of people were
present.
