Hyderabad, 1 July (H.S.): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad has issued an alert for heavy rainfall in several districts of Telangana on July 1.
It has also predicted thunderstorms and lightning, gusts, etc.
Yellow warning declared
Given the anticipated rainfall in several districts of Telangana, IMD Hyderabad has released a yellow alert valid until July 4.
The most significant rainfall in Telangana yesterday occurred in Bhadradri Kothagudem.
Due to the rainfall, the highest temperatures in Telangana’s districts dropped. It fell to a low of 25.6 degrees Celsius noted in Nagarkurnool.
IMD predictions for rainfall in Hyderabad
The weather department has predicted a mostly overcast sky for the city. It has also forecasted rain or thunderstorms through July 4.
The atmospheric conditions are expected to continue in the city’s seven areas, namely Charminar, Khairathabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad, and Seri Lingampally.
Given the rain predicted by IMD Hyderabad, residents of Telangana’s districts are urged to organize their travel plans accordingly.
