01 July (HS): President Droupadi Murmu opened Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH
University in Gorakhpur, marking a huge stride forward for Uttar Pradesh's
health and cultural sectors. The
institution, which cost Rs 268 crore, intends to promote Indian intellectual
traditions, yoga, Ayurveda, and holistic wellness. On Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu formally
opened the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in Gorakhpur. Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath were present to witness this historic occasion. According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,
the university's launch marks a new age of health and culture in the area. It
was built with an investment of Rs 268 crore in Pipri, Bhathat. The institution pledges to be a hub for
Indian knowledge, yoga, and Ayurveda in Uttar Pradesh, driving value-based
innovation and character development.
President
Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday inaugurated Uttar Pradesh's first Ayush University in
Gorakhpur. This Ayush University is built in an area of 52 acres in Pipri of
Bhathat area. Rs 268 crore has been spent on the construction of this
university.
UP's
first AYUSH University will open new doors of employment along with medical
education. Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were
present on this occasion. It is noteworthy that OPD of Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy
is already running. Now the facility of Panchkarma and surgery will also be
available. This will also impact the agriculture sector of the state. The
demand for cultivation of medicinal plants will also increase.
