Jammu, 1 July (H.S.): The Congress party organised an impressive Jai Hind Sabha followed by a Jai Hind Yatra in Poonch city to honour the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces, particularly in Operation Sindoor. The event was part of the party’s nationwide campaign to pay tribute to the armed forces and highlight critical national issues.
The rally saw participation from several senior Congress leaders, including AICC Secretary Shahnawaz Choudhary, former Chairman of the J&K Legislative Council Jahangir Mir, DDC member and PCC coordinator Sain Abdul Rashid, former JKPCC Secretary Parveen Sarawar Khan, DDC member Rayaz Naz, IYC Secretary Ajaz Choudhary, Taj Mir and others.
Addressing the gathering, Shahnawaz Choudhary accused the BJP of politicising the armed forces’ achievements and avoiding accountability on national security. He criticised the Modi Government’s foreign policy, especially its inaction against Pakistan and relations with the US under Donald Trump.
Jahangir Mir demanded immediate restoration of full Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, calling it the legitimate right of its people.
