01 July (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that after giving the
gift of the first Ayush University to the state, the government will build an
Ayush Health Wellness Center of at least 100 beds in every district for public
health. Important facilities like Panchkarma, Ksharsutra will also be made
available here. Along with this, the government has decided to build one Ayush
college at the divisional headquarters level in those six divisions of the
state which were deprived of the facility of such a college till now.
Chief
Minister Yogi was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Uttar Pradesh's first
AYUSH University (Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University) on Tuesday.
Welcoming the chief guest of the ceremony, President Draupadi Murmu and the
very special guest, Governor Anandi Ben Patel, the Chief Minister said that the
central and state governments are constantly working towards comprehensive
health care. Before 2014, India's ancient health systems and facilities did not
get global recognition. After becoming the Prime Minister in 2014, Narendra
Modi created the AYUSH Ministry by combining Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Homeopathy,
Naturopathy, Siddha and gave a new platform to traditional medical systems.
The
Chief Minister said that Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University is the first
Ayush University of Uttar Pradesh, built for complete health under the
inspiration of Prime Minister Modi. With the inauguration, the admission
process in this university will also move forward. People will get the benefit
of medical services of Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Yoga, Naturopathy, Siddha
etc. This university will also move forward as a big center of research and
development in the field of Ayush.
Yogi
said that Ayush University will also play a major role in providing employment
to farmers and youth on a large scale. Cultivation of medicinal plants through
this university will help in increasing employment. The Chief Minister said
that Ayush University will also prove to be decisive in attracting traditional
medical practices in a new form of health tourism. He expressed confidence that
Ayush University will become a new destination for health tourism.
Ayurveda's
Rasa Shastra is connected to the tradition of Navnath and 84 Siddhas: During his
address at the inauguration ceremony of Ayush University, Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath also mentioned the mutual connection between Ayurveda and Nath sect.
He said that the invention of Rasa Shastra and metal science in Ayurveda is
connected to the tradition of Navnath and 84 Siddhas and the credit for
organizing it is given to Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath.
