West Bengal government has issued a toll-free number to register complaints of cyber fraud. From now on, people of the state can register any complaint related to cyber fraud by calling the toll-free number 1930. The minister said that not only the people of West Bengal but people of any state can register their complaint by calling on this number.

During the Q&A session in the Assembly on Thursday, state IT Minister Babul said that from now on, complaints of cyber fraud can be made by calling on the number 1930. Residents of other states can also use this facility. If a person from another state calls on that number and registers a complaint, then from there the complaint will be reported to the concerned state.

However, the minister also said that if you want to lodge a complaint against any social media account like Facebook or YouTube, then you have to lodge a complaint with the concerned agency.

Babul also said that he himself has faced such problems many times. Allegedly, there are about 29-30 fake accounts in Babul's name on Facebook. But he himself does not know anything about this. He also has a channel in his name on YouTube, whose followers have crossed three and a half lakhs. But Babul could not even prove that the account is his channel. He said this during the Q&A session of the Assembly. Apart from this, Babul's argument is that since 'Meta' does not share its information with the West Bengal government, they are unable to take action in this regard.

In fact, recently the incidents of cyber crime are increasing day by day. Many people are losing lakhs of rupees in digital arrests one after the other. In that context, the state has made it easier to file a complaint of cyber fraud.
