Bhagalpur, June 12 (HS): On Thursday, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, along with party officials, highlighted achievements of the Modi government in a press conference at Bhagalpur's Circuit House. Singh discussed self-reliance and global trust fostered under Prime Minister Modi's leadership over the past 11 years, marking this period as a pivotal journey towards making India a developed nation. He emphasized national security prioritization, citing milestones like the Balakot strike and advancements in defense technology, with a noted 70% drop in Naxal violence.
The digital transformation was underscored by over 24 lakh crore in digital transactions and nearly a billion internet users. Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) has facilitated the transfer of 44 lakh crore directly to beneficiaries, diminishing intermediaries' roles. Infrastructure improvements included daily highway construction, 136 Vande Bharat trains, and the UDAN scheme, enhancing air travel access. Additionally, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has provided farmers with over 3.7 lakh crore in funds. Singh pointed to cultural rejuvenation through initiatives like the abrogation of Article 370 and the construction of the Ram Temple. Education reforms, such as the new education policy and establishment of AIIMS, IITs, and IIMs, along with the Ayushman Bharat scheme benefiting 400 million, indicate a progressive outlook. Investments in the Northeast reflect a commitment to inclusive development.
