CM Takes Swift Action: Visually Impaired Prafulla Das from Korai to Receive House and Government Aid


Bhubaneswar, 12 June (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has taken prompt action after media reports highlighted the plight of Prafulla Kumar Das, a 41-year-old visually impaired man from Andhari village under Korai block in Jajpur district.

Acting on the Chief Minister’s instructions, Das will be provided a house under the Antyodaya Housing Scheme. Additionally, he will receive an immediate financial assistance of ₹5,000 from the Red Cross Society.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Das is already receiving a monthly disability pension of ₹3,500. He also benefits from the National Food Security Scheme, which provides him with 5 kilograms of rice per month, along with a white cane (blind stick) to assist with mobility.

This timely intervention reflects the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable and differently-abled individuals across the state.
