New Delhi, June 12 (H.S.): The Tata Group announced on Thursday that it will provide financial assistance of 1 crore rupees each to the families of those who died in the accident of Air India’s Dreamliner Boeing 787-8 flight number AI171 in Ahmedabad. In addition, the group will provide medical coverage for all injured passengers. There were 242 people on board, including 12 crew members.N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, expressed in a statement that we are deeply saddened by the tragic incident related to Air India flight AI171. The grief we feel at this moment cannot be expressed in words. Chandrasekaran stated that our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who have lost their loved ones and those who have been injured.

The Tata Group will provide 1 crore rupees to the family of each person who lost their life in this tragedy. It will also bear the medical expenses of the injured and ensure that they receive all necessary care and support. Additionally, it will provide assistance in the construction of a hostel for B.J. Medical College. The group has stated that they stand with the affected families and communities during this unimaginable time.

It is important to note that the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, heading from Ahmedabad to London, crashed just five minutes after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The crashed aircraft fell into a densely populated residential area near B.J. Medical College.
