Siddharthnagar, 10 June (HS): During
an encounter, a joint team of Bansi and Pathra police station and SOG arrested
a criminal with a reward of Rs 25,000 from near the canal culvert of village
Baidoli in the area. Superintendent of Police Siddharthnagar Dr. Abhishek
Mahajan said on Tuesday that the police has arrested gangster Zubair Ansari,
resident of Pipra Ramlal. He was wanted under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and
Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act. A reward of Rs 25,000 was declared on
him. The police found his location near the canal of village Baidoli on the
Bansi-Pathra road. During the siege, the criminal fired at the police. The
police fired back, in which Zubair was shot in the right leg. He was brought to
Bansi Hospital for treatment. On the basis of arrest and recovery, further
action is being taken against him in Bansi police station.
