Chirang Assam, 11 June (HS): Water is called life, but in Chirang district, a person had to lose his life in search of this life-giving water. A very tragic accident took place in Satyapur Vangaon No. 2 under Khungring Forest Range near the Indo-Bhutan border.

49-year-old Chermen Musahari, who was digging a well himself to arrange drinking water for the family, got buried in it due to soil collapse and killed on the spot. This accident happened on Monday at around 12 noon, but unfortunately his body could not be retrieved till date.

The villagers themselves tried to retrieve the body by installing a JCB machine without informing the administration, but they were not successful. Today the Runikhata police station was informed about the incident, after which the police reached the spot.

Now the SDRF team has been dispatched to the spot so that the body of the person buried in the soil can be taken out.---------------
