Mumbai, 10 June (HS): A

third-year MBBS student of Sir J J Medical College and Hospital died by suicide

in his hostel room. He hanged himself from the ceiling fan to take the extreme

step. Identified as Rohan Ramfer Prajapati (22), he was said to be disturbed

for the last few days.

Police recovered Rohan’s body, conducted the post-mortem, and handed over the body to his family

members. The incident occurred on Sunday night. His roommate found him hanging

on arrival around 10.50 pm, and informed the college authorities and police.

Police informed the

media on Tuesday that Rohan’s parents were suffering from financial problems.

Rohan was probably in tension due to the family’s financial condition.
